Terms of use

These terms apply to your use of Home Search, run by Home Search L.L.C. in Doha, Qatar. By using the site you agree to them.

What Home Search is

Home Search is a platform where people list properties and others can find and contact them. We are not a party to any rental or sale, we are not a real-estate broker, and we do not check every listing. Listings, prices, photos and contact details come from the agencies and brokers who post them, and they are responsible for them. Always view a property and verify ownership and documents before paying anything.

Your account

• You must be 18 or over to create an account or post a listing.
• Give accurate information, confirm your email address before your first login, and keep your password safe.
• You are responsible for everything done through your account.
• Contact details you add to a listing (name, phone, WhatsApp, email) are shown publicly on that listing.

Listing rules

• Only approved brokerage companies, their agents and licensed independent brokers may post listings.
• Only list properties you are authorised to rent or sell.
• Prices, details, amenities, photos and locations must be accurate and current.
• Only upload photos you took or have permission to use.
• Mark listings as rented or sold, or delete them, when no longer available.
• Listings uploaded in bulk from a file follow the same rules as listings added one by one.
• No misleading, offensive, discriminatory or illegal content.

Not allowed

• Fake listings, scams, or asking for deposits before a viewing.
• Spamming people through the contact form or WhatsApp.
• Posting the same property more than once, or posting someone else's personal details without their permission.
• Pretending to be another person, agency or company.
• Collecting listings or other information from the site with bots or automated tools, building a copy or database of it, or using it to train artificial intelligence, without our written permission.
• Trying to break, overload or get around the site's security.

Home Search's own content

The Home Search name, logo, design, software and the way listings are organised and presented belong to Home Search L.L.C.. You may use the site for its normal purpose, but you may not copy, sell, adapt or take apart any part of it.

Your photos and content

You keep ownership of the photos, descriptions and other content you upload. By posting them, you give us permission to show, resize and share them on Home Search and when people share your listing, for as long as they are on the site.

Agencies

• Agencies must hold a valid real-estate licence in Qatar and keep their details up to date.
• By posting a listing, an agency or broker confirms that its details are correct and up to date and that it is allowed to advertise the property.
• The agency owner is responsible for the listings and conduct of the agents in their agency.
• Agencies and brokers are responsible for following Qatar's real-estate rules, and for any personal information they receive through Home Search, such as enquiries from visitors.
• We may approve, refuse or remove an agency, and give or remove Premium status, at our discretion.

Featured credits

• Featured credits let you show a listing as featured for a set period.
• Credits have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and are not refundable once added.
• Unused credits may expire 12 months after they are added.
• Featuring makes a listing more visible; it does not promise a number of views, enquiries or deals.
• If a featured listing is removed for breaking these terms, the credits used for it are not returned.
• Credits given to an agency belong to the agency, and the owner decides how they are shared with agents.

The service

We work to keep Home Search running smoothly, but we do not promise that it will always be available, error-free or uninterrupted, and we may change, pause or stop any part of it at any time. Maps, videos, 360° tours, WhatsApp and Google sign-in are provided by other companies under their own terms.

What we can do

We may remove listings, or suspend or close accounts, that break these terms, are reported by users, or look suspicious, without notice. We are not required to review what people post before or after it appears, but we may edit or remove anything that we think breaks these terms.

Closing your account

You can delete your account at any time from your profile page, or by emailing privacy@homesearch.qa. A deleted account and its listings are hidden at once and kept for 60 days in case it was a mistake: you can bring it back by logging in within 30 days, and we can bring it back within 60 days. After that it is erased for good. An agency owner must remove their agents before deleting their own account.

Liability

The site is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, Home Search, its owners, staff and service providers are not responsible for listings or the information in them, for dealings between users, for services provided by other companies, or for any indirect loss, lost profit, lost data or loss of opportunity arising from using the site. Where we are responsible, our total responsibility for all claims is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits responsibility that cannot be limited under Qatari law.

You agree to cover any claims, losses or costs brought against Home Search because of your listings or content, your dealings with other users, or your breaking these terms or the law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Qatar, and any dispute will be decided by the courts of Qatar. These terms are available in Arabic and English. If the two versions differ, the Arabic version applies.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do. Using Home Search after an update means you accept the new terms. Questions: privacy@homesearch.qa
